Crime Alert gathered that the alleged adulterous house wife (names withheld) and a staff of the University attached to the security department was allegedly caught red handed, with another randy staff who hails from Nnobi, Anambra State and a senior Staff of Energy Research Center of the University,  enjoying one another on her matrimonial bed. An impeccable source disclosed to Uwillcgossip.com that the husband of the woman had been suspecting his wife had been having amorous overtures with the man but his suspicion became real on that fateful day he caught them pants down. The source said that the man returned to his house following a tip-off, only to behold the bizarre scene, explaining that when the husband of the adulterous woman walked into the room, he saw them pants down and the Energy Research Centre lover took his cloths and ran away.  Neighbors who were attracted to the ugly scene gave him a hot chase but he escaped, the source noted. Unable to bear the slight, the husband of the adulterous woman headed to the Nigeria Police Area Command, Nsukka and lodged the complaint. When Crime Alert visited the Police Area Command, the aggrieved husband said he was making his statement to the police. According to him, it was true, they have been having this affair since and I have been suspecting them, but my wife would always convince me, taking advantage of my being a non- Igbo.  When our reporter reached out to the suspect on phone for comments, he quipped “that is rubbish, that is rubbish” while the alleged adulterous woman also told our reporter on phone “there was nothing like that”. However, Police sources at the Area Command Nsukka revealed that the woman claimed her alleged lover was just a family friend for many years. She denied the alleged sexual intercourse claiming that “the man comes to our house and has been a friend of the family. He acts as a father to me”. When contacted, the Area Commander, Nigeria Police Area Command, Nsukka, Ros-Armson Haladu (ACP) confirmed that a case of adultery was reported to his office and both suspects have made useful statements to Police in respect of the matter.

But the trust the traders have in them as regular customers evaporated when one of them, a 200 level mass communication student (names withheld) sought to be accompanied to where they could buy good pants and the suspects paid for two packets of mixed coloured pants and in the process allegedly removed three other packets alongside the ones they bought. Luck however ran out on them as the trader suddenly noticed the removal of some packets from where they were displayed. Police nab 3 for allegedly stealing 10 day old baby

The police in Enugu have arrested three persons, including a lady for allegedly stealing a 10-day old baby. The suspects were arrested by the anti-kidnap unit of the state police command following the alarm raised by the mother of the child, identified as Chinenye Egwu from Oduma in Aninri local Government Area of the state. Vanguard gathered that the plan to steal the baby boy was hatched by the suspects and others now at large after the woman put to bed and it was discovered that she had a male child and none of her relations was present. She was said to have registered with the private hospital where she attended ante-natal before delivering her baby on February 10. “The woman told the police that after delivering the baby she was in a very good condition and her baby was also healthy. But suddenly one of the nurses gave her an injection and she went into a deep sleep. When she woke up the baby had disappeared. Upon inquiry from the nurses about the child’s hereabouts she was told that the baby had some problems and was taken away. “Their explanation was not clear to her as she demanded to see the baby but when they failed to produce him that day she became suspicious that the hospital staff might be up to something funny. She insisted that the baby must be produced but along the line, one of the suspects approached her and made an offer of N46,000 for the woman to forget about the baby. “When she refused the offer, she was threatened by one of them, a development that forced her to raise an alarm and subsequently contacted the police. She identified one of the suspects, who was picked up by the police while two other members of the gang were later apprehended,” the source narrated. However, the child was recovered in the course of the investigation by the detectives but the suspects whom the police identified as Nwandi Chinenye (female), Friday Ude and Sylvester Ozollo, are currently being interrogated. The State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the arrest of the suspects, advised members of the public to beware of the type of hospitals they send pregnant women for delivery to prevent such occurrence in future. In another development, the police said a suspect who gave his name as Kenneth Ugwu had been apprehended for allegedly trading on fake currency. He was reportedly arrested by the Nsukka Police Division on February 20 after a report that he was seen at Eha Alumona with 28 pieces of fake N1,000 note. The PPRO said the fake currency was recovered from the suspect’s house when it was searched during investigations.

The command also said it had seized over 2,020kg of the suspected substance this year. This was made known by the state commander of the NDLEA in Kogi, Alhaji Idris Bello, while he was speaking with newsmen in Lokoja. According to Bello, the suspected policeman was a serving corporal and was arrested in a Peugeot J5 bus with a sack and black polythene bag full of the suspected substance weighing 5.1 kg. The suspect (name withheld) was reported to be on a special assignment in Damaturu, Yobe State. Alhaji Bello said his officers, who were on patrol on Lokoja-Abuja highway on February 19, also arrested one Tajudeen Yakubu with 16 wraps of suspected drug weighing 10.2 kg in black polythene bags. According to him, the wraps were concealed in the rear bumper and compartments of a Volkswagen Golf car with registration number: Edo AU 285 USL Yet another suspect, Laide Salau, a motor mechanic, he said, was arrested on February 23 while boarding a light green Toyota Hiace bus marked Delta KA 702 URA, carrying 70 bags and three black polythene bags of the dried Indian hemp weighing 520.9kg. This was just as one Yakubu Salau was caught by the Nigerian Army patrol team and handed over to the NDLEA, as he was apprehended with six bags of the substance weighing 39.3 kg.

The incident, which happened at 3/5, John Crescent, Igando, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, was reported at the Igando Police Station. The accused, if found guilty, risks spending a minimum of five years in jail under the Criminal Laws of Lagos State. Five years in jail for raping a 3 year old child? I think rapist should spend the rest of their lives locked up... According to the girl’s mother (name withheld) who spoke with P.M.NEWS correspondents, Kehinde was one of her neighbours and she left her daughter in his custody to get drugs for the girl when the man allegedly took advantage of her. “I was going to make my hair in the salon when I discovered that my daughter’s temperature was high and I told Kehinde’s wife to help me take care of her. But she asked me to leave her with her husband since she also wanted to make her hair and that we should go to the salon together.” “It wasn’t up to ten minutes after I went to get the drugs for her that I returned to the house and asked Kenny (Kehinde) to open the door but he didn’t. Instead, he told me that the girl was sleeping, that I shouldn’t bother myself about her. Then I asked him to at least open the door for me to see my girl and he said that he was in the bathroom.” The girl’s mother said she was shocked when the door was eventually opened and she discovered that the girl had been defiled. “I insisted that he opened the door. At this point, my daughter was lying down on the bed but was not sleeping. I asked him why he told a lie but he did not respond. I only observed that my girl was looking rather disturbed. “When I opened her pant out of suspicion to check her, I saw sperm in between her thighs. I got really mad at him and asked him what happened but he went really wild and told me that he did not do anything. ‘How could I have raped her?’ he asked me and when neighbours came around, they were also as surprised as I was,” she narrated. The doctor’s report confirmed that the girl was defiled following the tests carried out on her. It was also alleged that the accused had pleaded with the family to settle out of court but the girl’s family insisted that they wanted justice to prevail. When the matter was initially taken to the magistrate’s court, he pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of N250, 000 with a surety and the matter was adjourned till Friday, 22 February, 2013. However, the matter was tranferred to the family court. The court did not sit on 22 February and the matter was adjourned till 8 April, 2013.

The incident, occurred at the early hours of Wednesday morning at Oritse Street in Imude community, under Oto-Awori local development council area of Lagos. After allegedly committing the devilish deed, the suspect, Allen Biodun, 30, reportedly dragged the remains of his brother, Allen Olawale Ayetimi, 24, Toan uncompleted building behind their compound and dumped it inside the foundation of the building, covered it with leaves. Thereafter he quietly went to his room and took his late brother’s ATM card, his Merchant navy uniform and phone. Crime Guard gathered that the deceased only returned from an official trip to Port Harcourt at about 11pm Tuesday. Although, the late Olawale was based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. But his mission to his family’s house as reliably gathered, was to settle a score between his elder brother and mother. Neighbours who referred to Biodun as a terror in the area, alleged that he was also responsible for the death of his father two years ago. He was alleged to have poisoned his father’s food in order to take over his three-bedroom bungalow as inheritance. After his father’s death, Biodun reportedly chased his mother and siblings out of the main building,giving them the two shops in front of the house. Noone, could however tell whether there was any scuffle between Olawale and his elder brother on his arrival. But Crime Guard gathered that there had been a lingering dispute between the duo. Sources attributed the dispute to petty jealousy which could be likened to that of the biblical Cain and Abel story. The death of their father as gathered, saddled Olawale with the responsibility of catering for members of his family, since he was the only one who was working among them. Unknown to him, his good will did not go down well with his elder brother, who on the other hand, reportedly resorted to buglary and bullying as a means of survival. At other times, Biodun reportedly did menial jobs. But the fear of Biodun in the environment was the beginning of wisdom. “After the death of his father, he took to burglary. Everybody is afraid of him in the street. The only thing people did was to close their doors or even enter their rooms whenever they see him coming. Even if you see him stealing your property, you have no option than to beg him to return them because if you shout at him, he will beat you and nobody will come to your rescue”, a resident said, when Crime Guard visited. Another possible reason attributed to the seeming ‘cold war’ between the duo as gathered, followed Olawale’s refusal to sometimes meet with Biodun’s financial demand, an action the latter took as intimidation and disrespect on his person. Journey to Death: On arrival from Port Harcourt that fateful day, Olawale reportedly washed his uniform, took his bath and shared a brief moment with his mother and siblings in the shop they were confined to,during which he informed them that his mission home was to convince his brother to accept them back into the main building,unaware that he would never live to see his mission accomplished. Before retiring to his bedroom which he shared with his elder brother, Olawale was said to have instructed one of his sisters to boil water for him to bath the next morning. But apprehension set in at about 7am Wednesday, after his sister went to inform him that the hot water was ready, only to discover his blood stained clothes on the floor,without any sight of him. As she was about to leave the room, she reportedly met Biodun, who informed her that Olawale had gone to the bank. Unsure of what to do, his sister, reportedly alerted her mother who raised an alarm that created a scene in front of the building. At that moment, a neighbour identified as Mr Sunday Abogunrin, disclosed to the gathering that he saw Biodun hours back, dragging something on the ground. Their greatest fear was confirmed when Biodun bolted at the verge of being questioned about the whereabouts of his younger brother. Noone,could at first run after him, apparently unsure of what he could be up to. It only took the efforts of a man among the crowd to catch him. After much persuation, Biodun reportedly took the crowd to where he laid the remains of his younger brother. On closer look, a deep cut, was discovered in the late Olawale’s neck and forehead. How I killed my brother A mild drama reportedly unfolded as Biodun, according to eye witnesses, started behaving like someone that was mentally ill,following his incoherent statement. But at a point, he reportedly confessed to have stabbed Olawale while he was sleeping. The neighbour who claimed to have seen Biodun dragging the body of Olawale, told Crime Guard that: “I came out at about 1 am to ease myself at the backyard, when I noticed some movements. Out of curiosity, I peeped to see who it was, only to find Biodun dragging something on the floor. When I finished from the toilet, he was returning from where he went. I noticed his hands were stained with blood and when I asked where the blood came from, he said he just killed a goat. I never suspected anything, so, I went inside to sleep. It was when I heard shout from their compound in the morning that I had to disclose what happened” The residents who wondered why a man could go as far as taking his own brother’s life, were however not too surprised, as some of them claimed they saw it coming. According to one Ochukwo:“It is unfortunate that Olawale died. Biodun has actually made do his threat because he had on several occasions boasted that he would be the one to kill Olalwale someday. He had stabbed him before during a fight and since then, had told several persons that he would kill him someday”. On why nobody cared to inform the police about Biodun’s threat , the residents said they would not want a situation whereby he would come after them at the end of the day. Crime Guard gathered that Biodun’s mother and siblings were currently not only devastated by the tragic incident but were also afraid Biodun could carry out a more dastardly act if let off the hook. Onyinyechi's mother, 32-year-old Onuabuchi Omata, was said have a mental problem. She is an orphan though she has two male siblings, but they were too young to take care of Onyinyechi. After Onuabuchi was delivered of her daughter on July, 2007, her younger brother, John, seeing that there was nobody in their family that could take care of the little Onyinyechi went and deposited her with a motherless baby home in their area - Amichi Motherless Baby Home, Amichi, Nnewi South local government area of Anambra state to ensure she was given proper care. John is a Lagos-based commercial bus driver. So, having satisfied himself that he has placed his niece in safe hands, he went back to Lagos to continue hustling. Mother-in-law Stabbed Son's Wife To Death Over Photographs

A 24 year-old mother of two was was allegedly stabbed to death by her mother in-law on Wednesday evening at Angwar Baba area of New Nyanya, Nassarawa State. uwillcgossip.com reports that the deceased, Esther Opara was stabbed by her mother-in-law after arguments over photographs. The deceased’s aunt, Faith Okpudo, told uwillcgossip.com that she was informed that the mother-in-law took some of her personal photographs and that she demanded to have them back, to which she refused. She added that her late niece was said to have asked her husband to tell his mother to hand over her personal photographs to her, but the husband was alleged to have sided with his mother, insisting that the mother should have the photographs. “We were told that she started quarrelling with her husband for not supporting her. She cried and entered the room, packing her things but her mother in-law allegedly came from behind and stabbed her on the stomach twice. When she removed the knife from her stomach, her intestines came out with the knife. The mother-in-law was said to have run out of the house and the husband ran after her but returned to the wife when her cry was too much.” She was confirmed dead when she was rushed to the hospital. The deceased’s husband, Chinedu Opara said his mother had never been nice to his late wife since they got married, adding that they had been married for four years. He said his mother had been with them since he married his late wife and they had not been enjoying peace. He also added that his wife reported to him that his mother had taken all her pictures but he told her to ignore her. “When I told my wife to ignore her, she entered the room but the next thing I heard was a cry. I entered the room immediately I heard that noise and I saw my mother with a knife and blood stains. I looked at the floor and saw my wife’s intestine outside her stomach,’’ he told uwillcgossip.com He said his mother ran away after the incident, adding that he initially pursued her but returned back because of the condition of his wife and the cries of the children. The Investigation Police Officer in charge of the case at New Nyanya police division told uwillcgossip.com that the police are still investigating the cause of the death and that the woman is presently at large. Titilayo said nobody knew what happened when the lovers were together but it is believed that they had a misunderstanding which may have led to a fight.   Sources at 17, Muibi Street residence of the deceased told P.M.NEWS that  after the fight with her boyfriend, the victim was rushed to G&S Hospital where she was confirmed dead before the corpse was taken to Ikeja General Hospital for autopsy. Abuchi was immediately arrested and taken to Area 'G' Police Command, Ogba, for interrogation. When our correspondent visited Area 'G', Ogba, Friday morning, the suspect was seen writing his statement. When contacted for comment, the Area 'G' Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ishola Abdulahi, declined to speak on the issue, saying it  was too early as investigation was going on. The middle-aged woman was alleged to have slashed the throats of her four-year-old daughter, Nneoma and her two-year-old son, Godswill, with a machete, while the kids were asleep last Wednesday. The Ebonyi State police Command Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Sylvester Igbo, who confirmed the murder, said Uchaji fled their Elias Odili Street residence, in Abakaliki to Lagos after committing the crime. Narrating the incident, the elder brother to the father of the slain children, Mr. John Uchaji, described the incident as incredible, saying that there was yet no clue as to why the woman could have killed her children without provocation. He added that the father of the kids came to him midnight on the day of the incident to report what happened. The state police spokesman however, said that the command has commenced investigations into the matter, adding that bodies of the children had been deposited in a mortuary for autopsy. He advised the family not to take laws into their hands, promising that the police would get to the root of the incident.

Delivering judgment in the case with Suit No HM15C/2007, the presiding judge, Justice Opara, held that the two accused were found culpable of the crime for which they were charged and were sentenced accordingly, in line with the law of the land. The judge declared: “In the face of all the evidence, I am of the view and firm belief and hold strongly that the two accused persons should be banished from the society, in accordance with the provisions of the law of this country. I hereby find them guilty as charged. You Mrs. Felicia Uzoma should be hanged by the neck till you are dead and you Mr. Kelvin Uzoma should also be hanged by the neck till you are dead. “Meanwhile, each of you will be remanded at the Maximum Security Prison in Port Harcourt, the time, day and place of your execution, will be determined by the executive governor of this state.” According to Justice Opara, the 1st accused person, Kelvin Uzoma, said that he did not do it, while the second accused, Mrs. Felicia Uzoma, pleaded for leniency. The presiding Judge said that his hands were tied, as the law of the land provides that anyone that takes the life of another must pay the supreme price by losing his life.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arraigned Seven internet fraudsters: Philip Agbodobri (alias Daniel Karlssom) Peter Sunday (alias Richmon), Nnamdi Obinna, Amegor Ovenseri, Eloghosa Ocikiabor (alias Kristopher Kole), Osagie Aghedo Bliss, Idehen Obabueki Bleek before Justice P.I Ajoku of the Federal High Court 2, Benin on separate charges bordering on conspiracy to commit felony to wit: obtaining money under false pretences, respectively. The suspected internet fraudsters were arraigned at different dates between the 18th, 21st and 22nd of February, 2013. They all pleaded not guilty to the charges. One of the charge against them reads in part; “that you Philip Agbodobri (alias Daniel Karlssom) Peter Sunday (alias Richmon), Nnamdi Obinna, Amegor Ovenseri, Eloghosa Ocikiabor (alias Kristopher Kole), Osagie Aghedo Bliss, Idehen Obabueki Bleek on or about the month of October, 2012 (and 18th day of January, 2013), at Siluko Road, Benin City within the jurisdiction of this honourable court did conspire amongst yourselves to commit felony to wit: obtaining money by false pretence contrary to Section 8(a) of the Advance Fee Fraud and other Related Offences Act 2006 and punishable under section 1(3) of the said Act. <div></div> In view of their plea, prosecuting counsel sought the leave of the court for a short date for trial. Justice Ajoku reserved ruling on their bail applications for February 27, 28, 29 and March 4; and adjourned to April 22, 25 and 29 for trials. The court ordered that the suspects be remanded in prison custody. The fraudsters were among the twenty suspected internet fraudsters arrested by men of the JTF, 4 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Benin and handed over to the EFCC, January 18th, 2013, for further investigation and possible prosecution. Meanwhile, twelve others had been arraigned earlier before Justice A. M Liman on separate charges bordering on obtaining money by false pretence. They were subsequently granted bail. At the point of arrest, the suspected fraudsters who had in their possession forty five (45) laptops of different make, twenty eight (28) telephone sets, eight (8) internet mobile modems and one Nissan car with registration number USL 375 AG at the point of arrest includes: Idehen Obabueki, Adesa Lucky, Usuagu Uche, Eloghosa Olikiabor, Larry Edomwonyi, Amowie Maike, Francis Ezegbede, Itua Samuel and Endurance John Egbeifo. Others are Amegor Ovenseri, Iyen Ighodaro, Philip Agbodori, Lucky Robinson, Nnadi Obinna, Osabuohien Osahon, Chinenu Eze, Peter Sunday, Solomon Ogu, Niyi Femi and Osagie Aghedo.

Mrs Okpudo said her late niece was said to have asked her husband to tell his mother to hand over her personal photographs to her, but the husband was alleged to have sided with his mother, insisting that the mother should have the photographs. “We were told that she started quarrelling with her husband for not supporting her. She cried and entered the room, packing her things but her mother in-law allegedly came from behind and stabbed her on the stomach twice. When she removed the knife from her stomach, her intestines came out with the knife. The mother-in-law was said to have run out of the house and the husband ran after her but returned to the wife when her cry was too much,’’ she narrated. He said his mother ran away after the incident, adding that he initially pursued her but returned back because of the condition of his wife and the cries of the children. The husband said his mother had never been nice to his late wife since they got married, adding that they had been married for four years and blessed with two girls, Chinelo and Sharon. Father of the deceased, Cosmos Anyanwu, said his late daughter had on several occasions complained of threat to her life and that on three occasions, he had brought her back to his house but her husband kept begging him. The deceased’s mother, Mrs. Loritta Anyanwu, appealed to the police to produce the woman who killed her daughter. ‘’Police should ensure justice by arresting and prosecuting the woman who snuffed life out of my daughter and ran away,” she pleaded. Sergent Aiki Tahiru; the Investigation Police Officer in charge of the case at New Nyanya police division, said the police are still investigating the cause of the death and that the woman is presently at large. “We need the general public to help us with the information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect,’’ he said.

The physically challenged barber got information 48 hours earlier that the police were on his trail, but he never believed he would be seized in connection with the abduction until he was arrested in his shop. Read his reasons for kidnapping his mother below<a name="more"></a> Why, what happened? “It is because of the condition that I met my mother, so I was not pleased and my elderly ones are not taking care of her. So, I took her to my place to take care of her. So, along the process, I was annoyed and said I should test my brothers and sisters to know how serious they are or how caring they are to my mum. Again, I also wanted to know if my elder brother is deceiving us, because he has been abroad for years. Since all these years, he has been promising us that he wanted to take us overseas, but he did not.” So, we started negotiating on phone, after negotiation, I discovered that they do not have anything. I came back from Benin City and told my mother that I have confirmed everything that I needed to confirm, so I told her to leave my house. She now told me that she would leave the next day because she wanted to get home in the afternoon when the villagers would have all left for the farm.I left her in the shop and went to my shop (barbing salon) in Ogwashi-Uku working when police people came to apprehend me that I kidnapped my mother. Is it from Benin you took your mother? No, from village, Ekpon You took her to where? To my room in Ogwashi-Uku You are based in Ogwashi-Uku? Yes Where do you stay in Ogwashi-Uku? Ogbe Isheagu Did you rent a house there? Yes, I rented a house. What did you tell your mother was the reason for taking her away? I told her to bring food for you and when she came, I started explaining certain things to her. She had earlier told me that she would like to bring Christmas food to me and I told her there was no problem, that she should bring it and that I would come to collect it at Agbor. So, actually, she came, we met at Agbor, so I collected the food from her and told her that I do not like her condition because she always complained to me that she was having high blood pressure and that my elder brother was not caring for her. Did you call your elder brother abroad to tell him about your mother’s condition? No, my elderly ones in the village know about the condition, they see her Is it true that you are a member of a cult group here in Ogwashi-Uku? No, I am not in any cult group <div></div> Who are your gang members in Ogwashi-Uku, only you would not have held your mother for 10 days without assistance? It is only me; I do not have gang members If you say you are the only member, who was the person calling your brother overseas on phone and demanding for ransom? For the first time, I asked for N20 million Why did you bring the money down later? They said that they do not have N20 million, so I told them that the least I would collect is N10 million. But when we went for a family meeting, my elder brothers were complaining to me that it is only N400,000 that they have. When I got home, I now told my mother that I have drawn my conclusion in my plan, as I have discovered that they (her children) do not have money and that she had to go the following morning. No, I saw it on the ground and picked it Were you the one that told her to go or it was the police that found out you were keeping her, and you asked her to leave before they catch you?No, a day after, the day that I came back from Benin, I told her to go. Omishore, is accused of pick-pocketing men after engaging them in sexual activity in public bathrooms, in places such as bars and parks amongst other places. It is believed that Omishore, was able to get away for so long with the crime because people did not want to get into trouble for having had sex in public bathrooms. The Westminster Council’s cabinet member for community protection, Nickie Aiken, said: “A crime is a crime and victims must feel they are able to report a crime, whatever the circumstances." The 32-year-old crook targeted gay men as they were having sex in the loos, so it is feared many of his crimes have not been reported. Omishore, who has 22 previous convictions, is barred from setting foot in men’s rooms in Soho and Westminster, central London, after a ruling at Westminster magistrates’ court. ‘This will finally stop a prolific offender who has preyed on the gay community for more than a decade,’ a spokesman for the City of Westminster City Council said. Councillor Nickie Aiken added: ‘We suspect Omishore has been getting away with this for so long, because his victims have been reluctant to come forward to report attacks and thefts.’ Chief Inspector Kevin Hobson said: ‘The impact on victims from such crimes is immeasurable.’ The impact on victims from such crimes is immeasurable and to those who have come forward to help the investigations in the past we again offer our sincere thanks and support,’ he said. Ms. Ajufo is reportedly being quizzed for conniving with her boss, Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD), to embezzle N50 million from the state Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Mr. Mofe Damijo, a well known Nollywood star, is the commissioner in charge of the ministry. Our EFCC said the commissioner was also being sought by the anti-corruption agency, but he has been elusive. An EFCC source confirmed Ms. Ajufo’s arrest. “As we talk, the Delta State Tourism GM, one Mrs. Nkem Ajufo, is been held in our headquarters here in Abuja over her involvement in the N50 million fraud. Her boss, Mr. Richard Mofe Damijo, is not left out but as we speak he is still avoiding us,” said the source. Two sources at the ministry told our reporter that the EFCC last week delivered a letter inviting Ms. Ajufo to appear at their headquarters. She was reportedly asked to bring along relevant documents concerning the N50 million that was meant for the purported 2007 Delta Expo event which never held. The sources disclosed that Mr. Mofe Damijo went underground on learning about the current development. One source told our reporter that the commissioner, who is reported to be building himself a massive underground edifice in Lagos, was trying to use political contacts in Delta and Abuja to scuttle the EFCC’s investigation and washed his hands off the scam. SaharaReporters learnt that Mr. Mofe Damijo denied knowledge of the money during the budget defense exercise. Several calls and sms texts sent to Mr. Damijo and Ms. Ajufo’s mobile lines were not answered. After a while, the commissioner switched off his mobile phone. Late last year, Saharareporters had broken the news of the N50 million allegedly embezzled by the commissioner and the acting GM of the state’s tourism board. Several sources in the commissioner’s office had confided that a former commissioner in the Ministry had applied for the N50 million to organize the “Delta State Expo 2007,” disclosing that the state could not release the funds then due to some financial challenges. However, when the funds were released into the Tourism account in May, 2012, Mr. Mofe Damijo allegedly said that the ministry could no longer carry out the event since it had elapsed by six years and Deltans would have forgotten about the event. But our reporter obtained “Forms of Advance Warrant” on release of funds from the Ministry of Finance indicating that the N50 million was supposed to be spent on the original event for which it was approved. The warrant order, numbered 00000117, 00000114 and 00000115, was signed by one Ms. P.O. Evuojapha for the Commissioner of Finance. SaharaReporters learnt that N35 million of the N50 million was supposed to have gone to the tourism board. A reporter for SaharaReporters learned that Mr. Mofe Damijo issued a check to the tourism board in the name of its acting GM, Ms. Ajufo. She in turn reportedly deposited the sum into her First Bank private account with account number (3006131619) operated under her name, Nkem Philo Ajufo. Both families were present at the wedding of Sanele Masilela (8) and Helen Shabangu (61) and the bride's husband and her five children were also at the wedding in Zimbabwe. The boy's aunt, Patience Masilela (46), explained why the wedding took place. She said: "The boy was named after his late grandfather who never had a white wedding, so the ancestors told the boy to get married and he chose Helen to be his bride. The family took his desire to get married very seriously. They paid  for the bride in March last year and spent a lot on the wedding because they believed it was what the ancestors wanted." The bride said: "I'm married and have five kids of my own, but I know that this is what the ancestors wanted – and now they are happy. It is a ritual. We are just playing now, but it is a sign that he will get married one day." The young groom said: "I told my mother that I wanted to get married because I really did want to. I chose her because I love her and I'm happy that I married her – but I will go to school and study hard. When I'm older I will marry a lady my own age." The bride's long-time husband, Alfred Shabangu (65), said that he never had a problem with her marrying the boy because he too knew that it was what the ancestors wanted. My kids and I are happy. We don't have any problems with it," he said. However, some community members said they were shocked. One woman said: "How can a family go this far for the ancestors? It shows that people do take messages from the ancestors seriously." This was a not a legal marriage – it was only done for ritual purposes. Uwillcgossip gathered that policemen attached to Ikotun division on patrol accosted two men at about 12: 30 p.m, Friday, with a Ghana-must-go bag. When they requested to know the content of the bag, one of the men bolted. When the bag was eventually opened, fresh human parts were found  inside  two containers. The  recovered parts  included  five fingers, a human heart, liver, kidney and intestines, all concealed in separate plastics filled with water. The plastics were, thereafter, tied inside separate polythene bags and kept  in the carry-all bag. Apparently to avoid suspicion, the suspects added soup ingredients such as salt, tomatoes and two pairs of bathroom slippers in a separate nylon bag which they placed on top of the human parts. However, during interrogation, the arrested suspect identified as Kunle Olaide, claimed the bag was given to him by his friend who bolted when they were stopped. On further interrogation, it was discovered that Kunle and his fleeing partner, slept in the  church the previous night. Kunle confessed to be coming from the church located in Egbe area of the state when they were accosted by the policemen. His confessional statement led to the arrest of the said prophet of the church, Dare Akinrosoye. Sources at SCID told Uwillcgossip that investigation so far revealed that their victim was recently killed. But the purpose and circumstances surrounding the killing were yet to be ascertained. Police sources hinted that it was obvious the suspects were taking the human parts somewhere, assuring that investigation would unravel  the truth. A physically-challenged barber, who abducted his mother, Mrs. Kate Emienor, in Benin City, Edo State and detained her for 10 days at a hideout in Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State, while demanding N20 million ransom to secure her freedom , has been nabbed by the police. Commissioner of Police, Delta State, Mr. Ikechukwu Aduba, who confirmed the incident, yesterday, said, "It is true, both the son and mother that was kidnapped are in our custody." Sunday Vanguard learnt that the barber, suspected to be a hardened criminal, allegedly abducted her mother, February 5, in Benin City, where he operated a barbing salon, and whisked her to a hideout in Ogwashi-Uku. He reportedly alerted his elder brother, based overseas, that their mother was kidnapped and the abductors were demanding N20 million ransom to release her. The ransom was later reduced to N10 million when his brother could not raise the N20 million. Meanwhile, unknown to the son, the police were alerted about the purported kidnap and they put in place strategies to track the abductors. Sunday Vanguard gathered that the suspect might have brainwashed his mother into agreeing to be abducted in order to obtain money from her son living outside the country. Aduba, who expressed concern about the involvement of family members and insiders in kidnapping, said, "The suspect who arranged the purported kidnap of his mother was busy holding meetings with other members of the family on how to release their mother, whereas, he was responsible for the abduction." The police boss disclosed that the suspect held a meeting with other members of the family 24 hours before he was arrested at about 4.00 pm on February 15, adding that no ransom was paid to rescue Mrs. Emienor. His words, "The scourge is getting worrisome as kidnap cases are not abating with idle youths turning their energy negatively to the detriment of the larger society". Recalling the case of a man who arranged the kidnap of a friend, he said, "Hard time awaits kidnappers in Delta State; they will be smoked out and made to face the full wrath of the law, including their sponsors, who always lurk around". According to Aduba, "Recently, a so-called human rights activist and lawyer was nabbed pants down trying to pervert the course of justice shamelessly in Warri. "His game of blackmailing notwithstanding, let him prove his innocence in court, not before native doctors cum spiritualists. "I want to assure Deltans that with their cooperation, there is no hiding space for sponsors of crime in the state; once they are caught, no compromise". THE Abia State Governor, Theodore Orji, has commended the Purity Organisation for promoting purity among youths and called on singles to strive to keep their virginity, which he described as their enduring priceless legacy. The governor spoke in Umuahia on Wednesday while welcoming to his office the winner of the 2013 World Purity Queen, Mrs. Nwanyieze Prosper, who also won the car prize donated by the Purity Organisation, as a reward for maintaining her virginity till marriage. “I challenge our youths to jealously preserve their virginity until they get married as the benefits of chastity are far reaching,“ he said. He assured the organization of the continued support of government in its activities. Orji represented by the Permanent Secretary, Government House, Mr. Nkwachukwu Agomuo, said the consequences of pre-marital sex are enormous, adding that the ideals of the Purity Organisation were in line with the goals of his administration. President of Purity Organization, Mr. Prosper Tochukwu, said that the car prize donated by his organization was in fulfillment of an earlier pledge it made that the car would be given to any girl certified as virgin before marriage and described it as an “ enviable gift”. According to him, only two persons registered for the contest since last year and were both certified as virgins by medical experts, indicating that the second person would also be given a car soon. The winner of the contest, who is a serving National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member in Bayelsa State, urged single ladies to strive not to lose their virginity despite all the lures and pressures even as she counselled those that lost theirs not to wallow in shame and regret but to resolve to begin to live life of chastity. I know where I am coming from. Do not forget there is a BBA winner from South Africa already and I am still where I am. The thing is, if people like you, they like you. If they want your star to stop shining, it will. If you are humble, grateful and real with people, you would still on top. If you are bitchy, you will not last long. I am taking corrections from people who have been there like Derenle and Uti. I am trying to learn from them. Whoever emerges as winner, I wish them the best. Rumours about my friends -Denrele and Uti This interview is not about them. It is about me, Karen Igho. I am not here to discuss people’s sexuality. It does not concern me. About my boob job People need to understand that I did not do it to impress anybody. I did it for me. When I did it, I was young and the reason I did it was because I had lumps; they took out some tissues and in the process, my breasts reduced. At that time and age, I was insecure that I had lumps that could develop into cancer and my boobs were small, so I went to get implants. They are not even that big; sometimes it is my bra that makes them big and people would be talking about my breasts like they have never seen breasts before. I did not do it for anybody. It was for me and because of the way I felt. I really thank God because a lot of women have cancer but mine did not get to that stage. Two of my sisters also had lumps, it is hereditary. My aunt died because of blood cancer, my granddad died because of brain cancer and my uncle died because of eye cancer. I am partnering NGOs I am involved with Non Governmental Organisations that are into any type of cancer awareness programme. On my birthday, I went to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital to see kids with cancer. I asked them what they needed and some of them needed a transplant, some needed blood, and I helped the little way I could. I do not limit it to cancer alone. The campaign for HIV and AIDS is also something I am passionate about. There is also the youth empowerment programme too. I see myself as a stepping stone for other youths who are out there struggling; youths who are asking themselves if they can make it because Nigeria is a tough country to live in. Yes, you can make it if you put your mind to it and work hard. Look at me, from nothing to something. I want people to learn from me. My early days I grew up in the village. I stayed with my grandmother and we lived in a mud house. Whenever it rained, we would be soaked inside the house. The food we ate then was straight from the bush. I had a lot of bush meat, that is why I love Nigerian food. I call them vintage food. Although I eat international dishes, I prefer Nigerian food. I also like to cook because I learnt it from my mother and my grandmother. My father died when I was 12 years old. Growing up for me was not easy. My dad is from a wealthy family, he is Peter Igho’s brother. It was the situation and circumstance at that point in time. I bet if he was alive he would have seen things in a different way. I was abused as a child, not sexually. I was maltreated because I had to live with relatives. Nobody would treat you like their own. My parents had me when they were young and they had various things they wanted to do. I had to stay with different relatives. I was beaten well. The Big Brother House experience I won Big Brother and I am grateful to the people that voted for me. The one I picked on the most was how easily people can be lied to. It is not good. How tabloids fabricated lies and gave them to the public to read and they bought them, without knowing how true those stories were. What I have learnt from life is that it is not good to judge. It is not every girl you see that is a bad girl; because these days, the good girls are now the bad girls and the bad girls are now the good girls. I know that God would always be with me. I could not defend myself but God defended me because if I had got out of the Big Brother House and did not win, I would have been the most hated housemate in Big Brother history. I thank God for making me win and making people see me for who I am. The people saw that there is more to me than meets the eye, I thank God for that. They gave me 91 days to showcase the kind of person that I am and I did and that was what Africa fell in love with. Being an ex-stripper Where did you get your source from? Can you please give me evidence and proof? Even the pictures are all ‘photoshop’. It is not fair because at the end of the day, I will want to get married and do some other things. I know when I was in the house, people were expecting me to be the one to have sex, they were expecting me to be the one to shower naked first. With the way I behaved in the house, people could have figured out that I am different from what they have read about me. The only thing I have is my pride and dignity. My privacy and my body are reserved for my future husband. For 91 days, I refused to bath naked, I was using a bikini and lingerie to have my bath. I took about 20 bikinis into the house to have shower with and to protect my pride. Coming out and seeing my own people trying to bring me down made me feel bad. Other African countries were not laughing at me but the writers of the negative stories because they watched me and analysed me based on the way I acted in the house. They concluded that I could not have been the same girl. My fans, the real Karenified, were really supportive and I am very grateful. How I was assaulted last year by a policeman That particular day, it was my friend, Denrele, that invited me to an event and I had to honour his invitation. I had my tag and my invite. I even took a friend, to tell you how many invites I had. I even took my own bouncer. Before the incident happened, my bouncer had been discharged to go home. If he was there, it would not have happened. People always quote what happened that day wrongly. It was a MOPOL officer, not a bouncer that hit me. A policeman in uniform did it to a citizen. The reason I want to talk about it is because no man is allowed to hit a woman just like that. I got to the event and parked, but the guy said he was saving the space for someone and that if I was not going to give him money, I should park somewhere else. I asked if he was for the party and he said ‘yes’.I told him that I was also for the party, but he insisted that I give him money. I told him to let me go to the event and return. When I got back, I saw that my car had been blocked in such a way that I could not move out. He allowed someone else park behind me on purpose because I did not give him money. I told him that I wanted to leave and he should help me look for the owner of the car. He told me he wasn’t working for me. I told him that the event was organised by Smirnoff Ice and they were the ones that hired him; he said ‘yes’. Then I asked why he was angry. He said he would not do anything till I give him money. I told him not to worry that if it was how he wanted it to be done, I would need his name. I think the man did not really know who I was. My friend was even with me, she just got back from the UK. She too was shocked. I asked for his name but he said he would not give me and if I talk anyhow, he would slap me. I asked him if it was because he was holding a gun and putting on a uniform. Before I knew it, the guy gave me a heavy slap. The slap sent me to the floor. My jaw shifted and my face was swollen for a week. I had a concussion on my head. There were witnesses. He threatened he was going to shoot if anyone helped me. When he realised what he had done, and seeing that people were moving towards the scene, he fled. I got his name and told the organisers what happened and they sprang into action. I was traumatised and shocked, I got scared. I told them I was going to sue for what they caused me, but we later settled out of court. My first heartbreak I am the kind of girl that when I am with a guy, I am with a guy. I do not cheat or double date. I stick to one man. I am a faithful, loyal, honest and God-fearing kind of person. When I do anything, I put myself in the person’s shoes. I was about 22 years old when I had my first heartbreak. The guy travelled to America, so we had to call it quits. He was a nice person but I had to move on. A lot of things happened. I am from a strict Christian home, so I did not start dating till I was about 19 years old. He was the first person I had sex with. I did not lose my virginity till I was quite old. Because I have a petite figure, people don’t know how old I am. I was 20 years old when I lost my virginity. A fan that proposed to me I went for a show in Warri, Facebook Unplugged. I turned him down because then, I just won Big Brother. I did not know him and he just gave me a ring. I said ‘no’ because I did not know him. He could be psychotic, who knows? I think he was playing, though. It was nice of him. At that time, I did not know if he loved me or my money. If he comes now, I will probably consider him because it is about a year and a half now. I have invested the money. My current relationship You never know when it comes to relationships. I say so because you can be seeing someone for about a year and it does not work out because it was not meant to be. Maybe because of my busy schedule or my career. I might be seeing someone now, but it does not mean that few months later, I will not be single. At the moment, I am seeing somebody but I want to see how it goes.

A terse statement issued by the President of Kennis Music, Keke Ogungbe, midnight Thursday reads: "With a deep sense of loss, we announce the shocking death of our darling music star, Goldie Harvey. Goldie, 31, died on Thursday after she complained of a severe headache shortly after her arrival from the United States where she went to witness the Grammy Award. She was rushed from her Park View, Ikoyi, Lagos residence to her official hospital, Reddington, Victoria Island, Lagos, where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival at exactly 7:30pm in the evening. We consider this period a gloomy moment for us and the entire Nigerian music industry in view of the circumstance in which she passed away; the abundance of talent she exhibited in her short but eventful music career and the various opportunities her trip to the United States of America would have availed her. She is survived by her father, step- mother, brothers and sisters. We deeply sympathise with her family and fans all over the world and very grateful to all and sundry, especially, the vibrant Nigerian media for their concern and prompt reportage. We shall keep everybody informed as events unfold as we are devastated by the sudden loss." Meanwhile, the remains of Goldie who hails from Ekiti State has been deposited at the mortuary of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos. Goldie represented Nigeria at the Big Brother Star Game in 2012. Her latest effort, she described as three nawti singles from her forthcoming African Invasion album are "Skibo". "Miliki" and " Got To Have It," presently enjoying heavy rotations on radio and TV stations across the continent. Burial arrangements will be announced by the family. May her soul rest in peace. A 52-year old man, Abayomi Mayuku allegedly bit another man’s penis during a fight over alleged suspicion of sleeping with his wife. Mayuku reportedly went to Olusesan Robinson’s house at 255, Railway Line, Ilupeju and inflicted injury on his penis with human bite. This happened at about 8.00pm after the match between Nigeria and Ivory Coast in the ongoing Nations Cup in South Africa. According to an eye witness, Mayuku left his home and came to Robinson’s house and alleged that he was told Robinson was dating his wife and warned him to desist from that. Robinson, whose wife is heavily pregnant, denied and tried to explain to him that he was married and responsible man. This angered Mayuku who immediately engaged Robinson in a scuffle. During the fight, he grabbed Robinson’s penis and bit it and as well as his neck. Robinson suffered injuries and he is being treated in a hospital . When source of UWillCGossip visited Robinson’s house, his landlord confirmed the incident and explained that he heard the commotion but he didn’t come out because he was not feeling fine on that day. The matter was reported at Olosan Police Station in Mushin and Mayuku was arrested and charged to court. He is now facing a one count charge of assault, occasioning harm. He pleaded not guilty and the presiding Magistrate, Mrs. F.O. Abegunde granted him bail in the sum of N250, 000 with two sureties in like sum. He was, however, remanded in prison custody at Kirikiri pending when he will perfect his bail.

It was learnt that Sunday had lost her ears due to the attack. Before the attack, which took place in August 2012, Sunday, was to report for training at the Police Academy, Kano as a cadet officer. Still nursing severe burns to  her neck, chest and upper arms, Sunday can barely sit or walk straight. She holds her head stiffly and talks with difficulty as she recalled the events that led to her present state to newsmen on Wednesday. She said, “I have known Gbanwuan for a while, while I was still a student at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, but it wasn’t until our marriage introduction in 2011 that I moved in with him at the Pedro Police Barracks, Lagos. “On the day I was assaulted, Gbanwuan and I went to see our doctor. We had some health issues. While we were on our way back home, I made a phone call. Immediately we got home, Gbanwuan started querying me. He accused me of keeping lovers and claimed the person I called was my lover. “I tried to explain to him that it was my sister I called, but Gbanwuam was not listening. He began to beat me,” Sunday said. Unable to take it any more, Sunday said she ran into the kitchen of a neighbour with Gbanwuan giving pursuit. He allegedly broke into the kitchen where he continued to assault Sunday. She said, “Then to the horror of those who tried to intervene, Gbanwuan seized his neighbour’s cooking stove on which was a pot of boiling stew, emptying the entire contents on me. “I don’t know for how long I was unconscious but I was later told that I was in a coma for seven days. I learnt the stove also exploded after Gbanwuan threw it with the boiling soup at me. “I was first rushed to a private hospital at Bariga before I was eventually transferred to Igbobi hospital. “I couldn’t tell my family for a while because I could not use my hands; they were sort of stuck to my chest. It was after much treatment, that I was able to use my hands and call my family.” Sunday’s lawyer, Mr. Moses Kassim, told U-Will Celebrities' Gossip that a petition had already been sent to the Police Provost Office and the Commissioner of Police. He said, “We have still not received any response from either of them. Gbanwuan is yet to be arrested despite the fact that Sunday’s family reported the case at the Pedro Police Division. “While Sunday is confined to a hospital bed, Gbanwuan is still at his duty post at the Ebutte Ero division, showing no concern for her condition.” Copies of the acknowledged petition received by the Provost Office and Commissioner of Police were dated January 17, 2013. When Uwillcgossip.com contacted Gbanwaun, he denied causing any harm to his fiancée. He said, “What Sunday has told you are all lies. She has been going about saying all sorts of things about me. “That is how she wrote a petition through her lawyer to the Lagos State Police Command. Anyway, the matter is already being investigated by the command.” When our correspondent  sought his opinion on how Sunday got her injury that had kept her in the hospital, the policeman said, “I don’t know what to tell you. Like I said, the matter is being investigated. The Lagos Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Damascus Ozoani, said he was yet to be fully briefed on the issue. He said, “I don’t have all the facts right now. Let me investigate and I will respond to the story.” But Sunday said she was more concerned with getting well. She said, “All I want is the money to treat myself. My doctors are afraid to tell me how much because they don’t want me to be worried, but I have overhead them discussing several times. “There is a deep wound in my chest which has to be treated and then my neck has to be operated on because it has been stiff since the incident and then there is the matter of my upper arms. “The doctor, who attended to me at the first hospital I went to in Bariga, told me that I would have to go to India to have my ears reconstructed because they melted. He said I would need N5m. “Gbanwaun’s family has abandoned me. They did so immediately my family reported the matter to the police. My mother is dead and my father is aged. Coping with my daily treatment here is a struggle for my siblings.”
